The full sized, numeric key pad is designed for fast and accurate data entry, even while wearing gloves! The DC3X even includes a downsized QWERTY keyboard for convenient alpha keying. A bar-code port allows for quick and convenient scanning of bar codes for accurate inventory management and supports Fixed Beam Pencil Wands, Charge Couple Decoders, and Laser Light Beam Readers for a multitude of scanning applications.

Power Options

A customer interchangeable NiCad battery pack along with an AC Power adapter/charger are included as standard power sources. This long-life NiCad powers the Datacomputer for more than 30 hours before requiring a recharge and has a life of two to five years, depending upon usage.

Multiple Communications Options

An optional download cable for convenient data exchange both to and from a PC is both affordable and convenient. Our optional internal modem make communications over phone lines a snap and the optional acoustic coupler offers even more versatility when a pay phone is the only available device. NDINet* offers multi-drop communications to a PC by allowing up to 128 datacomputers to be daisy-chained for data exchange at speeds of up to 57,600 baud, all in one session.

Proven Reliability

The DC3X employs a back up lithium battery for protection against data loss. The rugged Datacomputer will easily withstand an accidental drop onto concrete as well as extreme variations in temperature without damage to data or the case. The case and keyboard are designed to protect against the effects of wind, rain and dirt. In fact, the entire unit can even be safely rinsed off under running water.
